Thrombogenic Hypothesis of Heart Disease-Part 2

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

Continuing our exploration of the thrombogenic hypothesis for heart disease, we will look at what damages the endothelial lining besides what we talked about in the last article.

We will bring this discussion to current events.  Why is having an infection with the Wuhan virus or getting one of the jabs leading to heart issues?.

Anyone following the news now knows that getting those mRNA jabs have proven to result in a problem of post-jab heart issues. Recent data shows everyone under the age of 80 is at higher risk of dying from the jab than of Covid itself. For those under 18 years old, they are 51 times more likely to die from the jab than from the actual virus if unvaccinated!

Thrombogenic Hypothesis of Heart Disease- Part 1

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

I’ve been telling you for years that cholesterol is not the cause of heart disease, and no drug, aspirin a day regimen or fat restricting diet does a bit of good in lowering heart attack risk or death. The whole saturated fat theory of heart disease was fabricated to begin with, yet it’s been a staple of “modern medicine” for forty years.

Today, I will introduce you to the latest information on what causes heart disease and arterial thickening called atherosclerosis. The thrombogenic hypothesis asserts that blood clotting is the underlying pathological process that causes all heart disease.

Aspirin Therapy and Your Heart-Part 2

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

Before you jump on the bandwagon of taking aspirin daily for the reduction of heart attacks, stroke and cancer, you really need to educate yourself on the actual benefits and side effects.   Like we showed last week, recent studies point toward no benefit in reducing heart attack with aspirin use.  In fact, use of aspirin by people who have not had a cardiac event seems to increase the incidence of heart attack.

Let’s start with the professed benefit of taking an aspirin a day. It is said to help prevent cardiovascular events, especially in a person who already has had a heart attack or stroke. A recent report came out saying aspirin prevents cancer when taken for at least 3 years. The process of thinning the blood so it can circulate more easily amongst clogged and narrowed arteries sure seems logical enough, if it only were true.

Aspirin Therapy and the Heart-Part 1

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

For many years, doctors have been prescribing aspirin therapy as a cheap, effective way to reduce cardiovascular events and improve survival after a heart attack. Neither of these is true.

Chewing two aspirin during a heart attack event has been shown to be very effective in reducing damage to the heart.  You must chew them, and it must be during the event.  That is not what we are talking about here.

Even low dose aspirin therapy has serious side effects that, just like statin drugs for cholesterol, overshadow any supposed benefit. The evidence in support of aspirin has always been weak, and over the last decade it has become even weaker.

Fats and Your Heart

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

Over the last several years of writing these articles, I’ve hit the topic of saturated fats, cholesterol and your heart health quite a few times. The school of thought that saturated fats are good for you continues to be proven correct. Even more recent research has come in on the side of the healthiness of saturated fats. The recent research also points to the real villain that fries (no pun intended) your heart, that being trans fats.

Back in February, the US government’s Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee surprisingly eliminated warnings about dietary cholesterol and reversed their long standing nutrition policy by concluding that dietary fats have no ill effects on the heart.

Damning Jab Data

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

I am so sick and tired of writing about this Chinese virus I could puke.  Everyday we hear new information that is simply ignored by most news outlets. This info isn’t conjecture or wild guesses, it is pure raw data from governmental institutions Yet this information is totally ignored in reporting and policy making.

Today is no different. The UK and Scotland have just released data regarding these experimental gene therapy shots. It isn’t pretty. These shots are an abysmal failure. Not only are they ineffective at stopping this virus, they seem to actually be the factor creating more cases. Anyone who continues to tell you this disease is a pandemic of the unvaccinated is either willfully ignorant or just a fool. The facts and data speak for themselves.

Nutrition for Covid

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

In this week’s article we will go over some of the top tips to optimize your health as related to battling this Wuhan virus.

Number one for fighting any infectious disease is to optimize your Vitamin D levels. Blood levels are ideally between 60-80 ng/mL. You must test your blood to see where you are and increase Vit D3 supplementation as needed. As a general rule, for adults, I recommend 3-5000 IU/day in the summer months and 5-10,000 IU/day from October to May at our latitude here in PA. Using Vit K2 at the rate of 100-200—mcg/day is needed with D3 as is magnesium at 100 mg/day.  You will need 2.5x more Vit D3 without the K2 or Mg to raise the blood levels to the same point.

Number two is to up your intake of key immune boasting supplements. These include N-acetylcysteine (NAC), quercetin, magnesium, zinc, glucosamine, elderberry extract, selenium, astaxanthin and vitamin C. These are the significant ones. Many more are available.

COVID and the Deer Population

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

I came across an interesting bit of information the other day regarding animals contracting Covid. I saw they were testing animals in a zoo and getting positive results in some animals, which displayed no symptoms.

Then, someone sent me an article published by NPR, titled, “How Sars-Cov-2 in American deer could alter the course of the global pandemic.”

It states that scientists have evidence that Cov-2 spreads explosively in white-tailed deer and that the virus is already widespread in the deer population across the entire United States!

"Pandemic of the Unvaccinated": Liars!

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

The latest data on vaccinations has been reported by Dr. Mercola. He has been banned on all social media and has to remove his published articles from his website in 48 hours. Today’s article is just a fact filled number fest; no interpretation is needed.

The Delta strain is now the dominant virus across the globe. The original Wuhan virus mutated into the Delta strain. Researchers have proven that those who are “fully” vaccinated are indeed more susceptible to Covid variants than unvaccinated people.

We hear it shouted from those in command, “This is a pandemic of the unvaccinated!”. They are liars, and the numbers prove it.

Simple Pandemic Data

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

For several months now, I have purposely not written on this pandemic of stupidity. Most of you know where I stand from previous articles. This week I simply want to look at data.

Some of this data is from the United States and some is form around the world. But data are facts and numbers, not rhetoric and speculation.

We’ve all heard from the high and mighty gods of government that the unvaccinated are 1. Why we aren’t done with the virus; 2. Why everyone still has to mask up; 3. Driving the mutant variants; 4. Just selfish and irresponsible. If all these are true, then the areas that are highly vaccinated should be pictures of health, right? Er…..not so much!

Is Chiropractic Maintenance Care Effective?

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

When I sit down with a new patient for the first time, one of the questions I ask is if they have ever been to a chiropractor before. I’d guess about half of them have not. My next question is usually, “Why not?” The most common answer is, “I’ve never needed one before.” For me, that translates into, “The pain I’ve been having off and on for years won’t go away this time!”

Needing a chiropractor should be on 100% of everyone’s list of necessary doctors. Not just for getting rid of pain but for maintenance of joint function to prevent future problems. Do you not change the oil in your car? Rotate the tires? Wash it once in a while? Why do you do this? It’s called preventive maintenance, right? Spend a little bit of time and money now to protect your huge investment for years to come. Isn’t your health worthy of investment? How can you eat right, exercise, avoid bad health habits, yet not consider maintaining the vital function of the spine and nervous system?

Do Prescriptions Really Expire?

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

Have you ever wondered if that old prescription sitting in your refrigerator is still any good?  You see the expiration date is well past, but it was expensive and you may need it again, right?

If the expiration date has come and gone, is it safe to keep? And for how long? Will it hurt you if you take it “out of date”?

Let’s start with how medication expiration dates came about. There were no expiration dates on medications until 1979. The FDA started requiring dates to “ensure effectiveness.” The generally accepted minimum standard for potency is a concentration of 90% or better.

Vitamins: Part 2

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

Once we realize that we cannot obtain the essential nutrients we need form food alone, you can then conclude that some sort of supplementation should be added to our diet.

There are good whole food vitamins on the market. I’m not here to sell any of them. Do some research and find them. None of them will be one pill a day. Most will need to have 4 or more capsules taken per day simply because you can’t compress all the ingredients into one pill, it ain’t possible! And that is your first clue to a good supplement. It takes more than one pill to get the needed ingredients.

They must have essential vitamins at levels above the RDA set by the government. The RDA’s, I believe, are bare bones numbers just to stay alive, not for optimum health. Take the 400 iu RDA for Vitamin D, for instance. Vitamin D at that level doesn’t even provide for essential body functions, let alone provide enough to improve your dietary intake. You need 5 to 10,000 iu’s per day from sun and supplements for optimum performance of body systems.

Vitamins Part 1

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

Do you take vitamins and supplements? Why do you take them? How did you choose what you currently consume? Price? Ingredients? Availability? Recommendation? Why?

I talk supplements with many people in the office, and most are just winging it, hoping it helps their health. Many people have fallen for the “one a day” advertising. Some buy supplements as cheaply as possible. Others look for certain ingredients, but really have no idea what should be in them. It is hard to know what to look for and how to buy when your knowledge and time are limited.

Sell By vs. Use By Dates

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

How many times have the ‘use by’ or ‘sell by’ date on a packaged food caused you to rethink eating or purchasing a product? Does either of those dates say anything about whether the product is safe to eat? Are these dates regulated by the government or backed by any research showing good reason for them?

The average family in America wastes over $1500 worth of food each year. Moldy bread and spoiled produce should be discarded for obvious reasons. Yet many perfectly fine foods are tossed based on the ‘use by/best by’ and ‘sell by’ dates. A recent report from Harvard found that 90% of Americans throw out food prematurely based on a misunderstanding of what these dates really mean.+

Allulose: Another Natural Sweetener

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

In the last article we talked about the failures of artificial sweeteners like aspartame, sucralose and saccharin. They are terrible for your health and well being. I’ve written other articles on stevia, which I regularly use, and tastes fine in drinks or sprinkled on foods for extra sweetness. But, you can’t really bake with it without altering a recipe markedly.

I am going to introduce you to an all-natural, actual sugar substitute called Allulose.

This real sugar is found in kiwi, jackfruit, figs, molasses, and raisins. Commercially it is extracted from corn sugars that are altered by a single molecule to become this sugar.  It is a monosaccharide, or simple sugar, and is absorbed by the body, but not metabolized. That is what makes this sugar have zero calories. It is excreted by the kidneys before it is metabolized, leaving you with “effectively zero” calories.

Artificial Sweeteners: Are They Safe?

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

Artificial sweeteners have become as common as sugar was 50 years ago. In today’s world of overweight people, some are constantly looking to reduce calorie intake. In a previous article a while back, I detailed how these sweeteners actually cause your body to crave more sugar and more food because they do not satisfy the body’s insulin receptors. This can lead to actual weight gain instead of the intended weight loss.

Artificial sweeteners like Splenda may lower your good gut bacteria, increase your intestinal pH and accumulate in fat cells. It is linked to leukemia. Aspartame (Nutrasweet) is linked to insulin intolerance, leading to diabetic issues.

Eat All the (Dark)Chocolate You Want

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

Chocolate is one of those foods that few people would do without.  In America, we rank about 20th in the world in pounds eaten per year, at about 9 lbs. per person, per year.  The Swiss rank number one in the world and eat about 20 lbs. per year.  I’m pretty sure I fit in with the Swiss more than most Americans. Chocolate is just a good part of a healthy diet if you choose your chocolate correctly.

Obviously, most candy is nothing but sugar and generally not what we look to eat regularly or in any serious amounts. Sugar in general is just not healthy and most candy is just that, not healthy.

Why so Many Meds?

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

Medication use as we age will likely increase to some degree. The older we get, the more things that can go wrong with our bodies. The problem is that it is getting out of control compared to years ago.

The New York Times reports that the average person in their mid to late 60’s today is taking 15 prescription medications per year! That doesn’t even count the over-the-counter medications many are adding.

In 2016, 75% of people over the age of 50 were taking at least one prescription regularly. Today more than 80% are taking two, and 50% are taking 4 or more regularly.

From 1988 to 2010, adults over 65 doubled the prescriptions they took regularly from two to four. The proportion taking 5 or more tripled in the same time frame. Yet the health of seniors overall is declining

Pandemic Fear Mongering

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

The fear in this “pandemic” is like nothing I’ve ever seen. The breadth and depth of the strategies used to stoke these fears is insane. Emergency use orders, mask mandates, stay at home orders, arresting pastors for holding church services are all part of the mass propaganda narrative. All of this over a disease with a survival rate over 99%.

“It bears repeating that a review of literature by respected Stanford University professor of medicine and epidemiology, John Ioannidis, published in the Bulletin of the World Health Organization (WHO), found the infection fatality rate for Covid-19 as of September 2020, was 0.23%!”, Says Dr. Mercola. In people younger than 70 years it was much lower. This rate is determined by dividing total deaths by total cases.
