Nutrition for Covid

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

In this week’s article we will go over some of the top tips to optimize your health as related to battling this Wuhan virus.

Number one for fighting any infectious disease is to optimize your Vitamin D levels. Blood levels are ideally between 60-80 ng/mL. You must test your blood to see where you are and increase Vit D3 supplementation as needed. As a general rule, for adults, I recommend 3-5000 IU/day in the summer months and 5-10,000 IU/day from October to May at our latitude here in PA. Using Vit K2 at the rate of 100-200—mcg/day is needed with D3 as is magnesium at 100 mg/day.  You will need 2.5x more Vit D3 without the K2 or Mg to raise the blood levels to the same point.

Number two is to up your intake of key immune boasting supplements. These include N-acetylcysteine (NAC), quercetin, magnesium, zinc, glucosamine, elderberry extract, selenium, astaxanthin and vitamin C. These are the significant ones. Many more are available.

Quercetin is the gun and zinc is the bullet when it comes to killing virus cells. Quercetin is the over-the-counter work around to the use of the hard-to-get drug Ivermectin. Their actions are similar in that they pierce the cell wall of the virus to allow the zinc inside the cell to kill it. The drug likely works a little faster than the nutraceutical.

NAC encourages glutathione production, thins mucus, lowers your chances of influenza infection and reduces your risk of developing severe bronchitis.

Tip number three is to treat EARLY! Do not wait for severe symptoms to develop. It is far better to overtreat a cold(that isn’t covid) than to ignore actual covid until you’re in the hospital. Hospitals are literally clueless on any treatment for Covid. If you end up there, I pity you.

The current mantra that hospitals are overrun with patients is not true.  The latest census of US hospitals is flat as a pancake for months now.  There are definitely employee shortages (hence overworked employees), but that is of their own doing, firing those who won’t bow down. But the numbers of people in the hospital across the US are not higher than usual according to their own data.

Go to the “FLCCC Alliance” website for exacting protocols to prevent and treat covid infection. These doctors are the ones to listen to on this topic.

Tip number four is to buy a pulse oximeter for personal use. They range from $25.00 on up. With this simple measure of blood oxygen concentrations, you can monitor your recovery progress and determine if further treatment is necessary. Again, you couldn’t drag me into a hospital for this, but some have no other options. You need to learn what needs to be done and have a plan for progressive Covid at home before it happens to you.

Tip number five is just that, make a written plan of what you are willing to do at home before you ever think about heading to the hospital. My plan has treatments like nebulized peroxide therapy, ivermectin use (horse paste if they force me to it), IV vitamin infusions and intravenous ozone(at a local health center), using molecular hydrogen and taking every supplement known to man for this thing. With all of these therapies you need to know how to use them, where to get them and have the tools to use them. These therapies are available to you, but you need to take the initiative to know them before you need them!

Your plan may be different than mine. Maybe you aren’t comfortable using some of these ideas. You just need to be prepared your plan to stay out of the hospital. Once you go in, you are at their mercy, and any treatment outside their “protocols” is firmly denied.

Staying healthy is preferred, but treating early is also mandatory!
