Sleep: Do You Get Enough?

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

When is the last time you got a full eight hours of sleep? Have you been conditioned to think getting a full night’s sleep is not that necessary? When I asked one patient about his sleep habits he said, “I’ll sleep when I’m dead!” Prophetically, a lack of sleep will get you there more quickly.

It is estimated that 40% of Americans do not get proper sleep time. Many get less than five hours per night. Even the CDC has stated that a lack of sleep is a public health epidemic. Improper sleep habits are linked to a wide variety of health problems. Tired drivers are as dangerous as drunk drivers. By lacking sleep, you are risking far more than accidents, you are affecting your entire health picture.

Colloidal Silver: A Natural Infection Fighter

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

For thousands of years health care practitioners and health minded people have been using the health benefits of silver to treat a myriad of human ailments. The ancient Phoenicians understood that keeping water, wine and vinegar in silver lined vessels maintained the freshness of each. Silver is a germicide and a disinfectant. It is a natural antibiotic, anti-viral and anti-fungal agent. The only problem is that our wonderful government agency, the FDA, does not agree. They decided in 1999 that all colloidal silver products sold over the counter are unsafe and mislabeled. They state they are unaware of any evidence to support its use for any serious disease. NEW!! COVID survival rates soar

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

I’ve gone an entire month without writing on this plague we are living, but that ends this week. This is not going to be a long article, and that is on purpose. I want you to ruminate on a few simple numbers.

The vaccination push is getting totally heavy handed. Your right to choose your own medical treatment is being squashed. Vaccine passports to do virtually anything are coming. All of this is based on what data? Absolutely none that shows its necessity!

Posture Pointers - part 2

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

In the last article we looked at what issues negatively affect general posture, from heredity to cell phone use, and how to improve general posture in a daily routine.

In this, the second part of the series, we are going to investigate good sitting posture and effective standing posture.

Sitting posture is very important for the spinal discs. Your body literally starts to shut down specific parts of the brain related to muscle tone, cognitive awareness and breathing, the longer you stay sitting in one position. This process starts at about 15-30 minutes of sitting.  Sitting also puts 13 times more compressive force on the low back discs than any other position.

Look at your own posture when sitting at a computer for a length of time. We start out upright and alert, but before an hour has passed, we are slouching and distracted, right?

Posture Pointers - part 1

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

As a chiropractor, posture is of great importance in my evaluation of a patient. Your posture tells me a lot about your work habits, your sleep habits and your sitting and standing tendencies.  There are three basic areas of posture: general posture, sitting posture and standing posture. Being aware of your body position in all stages can be the difference between daily pain and no pain at all.

This plandemic has forced many people to work from home. Most thought it would just be for a short while. Well, we can all see how that turned out! Now, many are faced with home working environments ill-equipped at facilitating good working posture. Very few people have good work stations set up ergonomically correct, at their home. When I hear people say “I work at the dining room table,” or “I sit on the couch,” or “I use the bar stool at the counter,” I immediately know those postures are creating issues of pain somewhere in that patient.

IVERMECTIN Treats and Prevents COVID

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

There is huge breaking news on the China Virus treatment front. The Front Line Covid-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC.org) has just fully endorsed the use of the 2015 Nobel prize winning anti-parasite drug, Ivermectin, as a must use treatment and prophylactic treatment for this disease.  Now you all know I am not drug guy by any means, but in a situation like this, when lives are on the line in some cases, it is prudent to look for all the help you can get.

The FLCCC is a group of infectious disease research doctors at the top of their profession here in the USA. One of them, Dr. Pierre Kory, lectured the US congress a few weeks ago on the importance of using this drug, along with several natural immune system boosters, to ward off infection.

There are some 27 studies with over 6,500 patients studied since last June that show this drug, Ivermectin, can be used to keep Covid away and to treat infection when present. It appears from the studies it is more than 85% effective at keeping Covid away and also very effective at treating even in the worst of cases.

Humidifiers to keep Covid Away?

Articles by Dr. Erdman are for informational purposes, and are not to be taken as specific medical advice.

“Flu season” has that name for multiple reasons. One that I preach about regularly is the “lack of sunshine” season, or loss of vitamin D in our bodies. Another is the cooler weather in the Northern hemisphere during winter months playing a role in viral particles being able to sustain themselves for longer periods of time.

But there is very recent research that shows the indoor humidity level also plays a key role in viral transmission rates.

Researchers from MIT collected data from 125 countries regarding Covid-19 cases and relative indoor humidity. They analyzed the data for three months. What they found was that relative indoor humidity (RH) had the most significant correlation with daily new cases and daily new deaths.
